Waking Up Now (Frankie)

She holds the future...
remembering life is worth living.
She's awake now
she's waking up now

She had clarity
remembering what it's all about.
She can face tomorrow
that's now plain
trade away her sorrow
for a new day of pain

Everybody wagers she won't make it,
she might make it, anyhow.
I know in the evening
strumming the floor
she hears him coming through the screen porch
smiles and walks through the door.
She's awake now
knows what it's all about.

Waking Up Now (Frankie)

She holds the future...
remembering life is worth living.
She's awake now
she's waking up now

(Is this supposed to be based on your ex-wife who faked her death to get
away from you?)

She had clarity
remembering what it's all about.
She can face tomorrow
that's now plain
trade away her sorrow
for a new day of pain

(yep, definitely your ex-wife)
