This is weird, I vaguely remember hearing on the radio once YEARS back
a song to the tune of Roxette's "She's Got the Look" where the chorus
was "Let's Shoot the Cook", except I have no idea who song it.
Granted, maybe it wasn't even a band that did it, just like an "in
house" group for a radio program or something. I know it sounds like
something Weird Al would have done, but I couldn't find it in his
listings...

Does anyonke know who song this song?

Just curious...

Was the radio station 98 Rock in Baltimore? When I was there in the early
90s, they used to do lots of stuff like that e.g. "Ignorant Man" (Billy
Joe's Innocent Man), "Another Dick in the Mall" (Pink Floyd's Another Brick
in the Wall) etc

If it was, that's Bob Rivers (who would have been my guess, too). His
current web site is www.bobrivers.com, and he's apparently working in
Seattle nowadays. They've got a complete list of all the songs he's
ever done, which is large, including recordings and lyrics. However,
none of them seem to have an appropriate title for this particular
request. But maybe it's a place to start.

Good luck,

I remember him. Cat Stevens was in the news in '89 or so, supporting
the hit that was out on Salomon Rushdie. Parodies came out then like
"I'm Beeing Followed By a Big Muslum" and
"Blow Up The Peace Train"

the guy did (still does?) great work.
