There's a hole in the roof in the back staircase. It might rain
tomorrow. That should be fun, and they just scraped the old roof tar off
too. It'll leak all over the place.

Roofing is fun. Especially in a commercial industrial application where it's
like over 100 degrees F. in the sun and you are doing propane torch on.

woot!

This should be fun for them. They're still tearing it up. Then they'll
tar it, and then they're going to put solar panels on it.

Weird. We don't see too many tar applications here. That's old school, tar
and gravel. Some of the old timers who poured that shit could show you some
nasty scars.

It's a building restoration. They need to use the old way to restore it
per their restoration grant from the Historic Building guys.

Gravel weighs a lot. It's normally use for ballast, wind resistance and
protection from the sun. We offloaded 459 cubic yards of it on a gym roof to
do a torch on membrane. 27 gravel truck loads of pea gravel. The new roof
weighs a lot less.

I'm moving, but I'll walk past everyday and watch them do it, and then
when they finish everything in March, I move back.
