I have a request regarding a song that must be very rare and obscure.
My mom's choir sang it back in high school (late 1960s-early 1970s)
and she always used to sing it to me. I asked her about it and she
has no idea who wrote it. Her choir director used many songs from old
musicals and things like that. I checked out the song "Spring is
Here" from Rodgers and Hart and it's a different song. I google the
lyrics and can't find anything. Here are some of the lyrics I can
remember:
When I see a robin wingin'
I always feel like singin'
Spring is in the air
My every step is swingin'
Bells of joy are ringin'
Looks like spring is here
Pretty buds of every hour
Open into flower
Beauty's everywhere
And life is bright and sunny
Happy as a bunny, honey
Looks like spring is here
There's no time to lose
Go out and spread the news
Love is on the way
Every bird on the bough
Is telling you now
to get ready for the day
For without a word of warnin'
This could be the mornin'
Love whispers in your ear
...
Any ideas?
