Does anyone have the lyrics to Walk Away by The Box 80s a Canadian
Band.

It goes something like "Its working day, a mid week day, walk a walk
away"

-- I see where, for some inexplicable reason, the lyrics have been
omitted from their 'Always in Touch with You...the best of The Box'
compilation. No matter. Here (with a slight margin for error) are the
lyrics:

THE BOX -- WALK AWAY

Six o'clock, on your feet
You rise to keep, your face is a mess
It's a working day
Red and white toothpaste, down the bowl
Shower time, no hot water

Breakfast, hot coffee
Whoops, in your eggs
Never mind
Down the stairs, in the streets
Hey lady, guess what?
You've missed your bus

I caught myself dreaming of an open field
In October, when the wind turns the sky to grey
I can stand stale air in the middle of the day
Into nothing but to wish time would fade slowly here

It's a working day, a rainy day, walk-a walk-a walk away
It's a midweek day, a working day, walk-a, walk-a walk away

I caught myself dreaming of an open field
In October, when the wind turns the sky to grey
I can stand stale air in the middle of the day
In the middle of the day
Into nothing but to wish time would fade slowly here

It's a working day, a rainy day, walk-a walk-a walk away
It's a midweek day, a working, walk-a, walk-a walk away

You're late and there's your bus
No comment
More than work, typewriter, 9 to 5
Coffee again
Whoops, in your papers

It's a working day, a rainy day, walk-a walk-a walk away
It's a midweek day, a working day, walk-a, walk-a walk away

Uh oh, married romance
Movies tonight? Oh no, oh no!
Five o'clock, time is up
Taxi cab, New York City
It's a traffic jam

Walk-a, walk-a walk away
Walk-a, walk-a walk away

I caught myself dreaming of an open field
In October, when the wind turns the sky to grey
I can stand stale air in the middle of the day
Into nothing but to wish time would fade slowly here

It's a working day, a rainy day, walk-a walk-a walk away
It's a midweek day, a working day, walk-a, walk-a walk away
