Cannibal King

Oh the cannibal king with the big nose ring
Fell in love with the dusky maid
And every night by the pale moonlight
Across the bay he came.
He hugged and kissed his pretty little miss
Under the bamboo tree
And every night by the pale moonlight
Sounds like this to me
A rump kiss kiss
A rump kiss kiss
A rump body oddy a
A rump kiss kiss
A rump kiss kiss
A rump body oddy a
The years went by like one, two, three
And soon they had a family
And every night by the pale moonlight
Sounds like this to me
A rump Ma Ma
A rump Pa Pa
A rump body oddy a
A rump Ma Ma
A rump Pa Pa
A rump body oddy a
And then one night
They had a fight
Under the bamboo tree
And every night by the pale moonlight
Sounds like this to me
A rump bang pow
A rump You rat
A rump body oddy a
A rump bang pow
A rump You rat
A rump body oddy a
If you’ll be M-I-N-E mine
I’ll be T-H-I-N-E thine
And I’ll L-O-V-E love you
All the T-I-M-E time
You are the B-E-S-T best
Of all the R-E-S-T rest
And I’ll L-O-V-E love you
All the T-I-M-E time.
Rack em, stack em any old way

I always knew it as:

There once was a big nose king
with a big nose king
who fell in love with a dusky maid
and every night,
in the pale moonlight,
across the lake he came.
He hugged and kissed his pretty little miss,
under the bamboo tree,
And every night in the pale moonlight,
it sounded like this to me:

Boom boom, (kiss) (kiss) boom boom, (kiss) (kiss),
under the bamboo tree,
boom boom, (kiss) (kiss) boom boom, (kiss) (kiss)
under the bamboo tree.

If you'll be M-I-N-E mine,
I'll be T-H-I-N-E thine,
and I will L-O-V-E love you,
all the T-I-M-E time,
you are the B-E-S-T best,
of all the R-E-S-T rest, and I will L-O-V-E love you,
all the T-I-M-E time.

It then repeats 3 or so more times, getting faster each time. But, that is just the version I was raised with, and is obviously much different from others.

Cannibal King with the big nose ring
Fell in love with a Zulu maid,
And every night by the pale moon light,
Across the channel he'd wade. He'd hug and kiss his dusty miss under the big bay tree, and every night he'd sing a duet that sounded like this to me; oh Jacob Lee zonkrayabouya, de papa pawawa critiki umpa umpa giddyup whoa.

And every night, by the pale moon light
Across the canal he'd wade
To hug and kiss his dusky miss
Under the big palm tree
And when they met, they sang a duet
That sounded like this to me...

Oh Jason leah, shikaya booya, oh papawawa, shannakitty, oompa, oompa, oompa...

This song popped into my head a couple days ago and I couldn't remember it all, but what I recall from the first verses was:

A cannibal king with a big nose ring
Fell in love with a pretty little maid,
And every night in the pale moon light,
It sounded like this to me:
Arum (kiss, kiss sound), arum (kiss, kiss)
Arumpidy'i-dee-ay (repeat)

The years went by,one,two,three,
And soon they had a family.
And every night in the pale moon light,
It sounded like this to me:
Arum-ma ma, arun pa pa
Arumpi-Dee-I-Dee-ay. (Repeat)

I probably hadn't heard that since 7th grade! I really enjoyed readingthe varied lyrics.
Now I will have to see if anyone remembers, "In the Boarding House Where I Lived!)

I learned it as “A warrior King” ..... fell in love with a Zulu maid/maiden” and every night under the pale moonlight you could hear them serenade, arump”” kissing sound” repeat

Arump till the something .. of day.
Learned it while a Brownie in Jamaica in the 70’s. Also learned the Zulu Warrior song, A Zaca Zumba. Many other campfire songs that I still do remember. My factor is the bear song about a little boy who has an encounter with a “ great
Big bear” a way up there. In the mountains.
Good luck
