Looking for dark, gloomy songs

Hi everybody,

I've become rather tired and bored with the everyday happy-happy dance
music my colleague plays on the radio all day, so I'm looking to fill a few
CDs with quite the opposite music.

Basically I'm looking for dark, gloomy songs, songs which make you feel
uncomfortable (be it through lyrics or through general mood), scary songs,
... anything that makes you go into a "black hole" state of mind.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to give some examples, but I've
noticed in the past that when I gave examples, most people tended to center
their suggestions around the same artist or genre, and I don't want that.

Any genre is welcome, really, anything - mood is all that counts.

Thanks!

"Gloomy Sunday" by anyone!
"I'll Never Be the Same" by Billie Holiday!`
"Brother, Can You Spare A Dime" by Dr. John and Odetta!

There's dozens to choose from.

"Lonesome Me" by Neil Young might not be dark, but it sure is gloomy!
"Strange Fruit" by Billie Holiday.
