Does anyone have the complete lyrics for this song please?
I'm tearing my hair out trying to transcribe the words from the tape.
Thanks
Mick

The Bogs of Lisdoonvarna

intro...instrumental

Working on the bogs of Lisdoonvarna
Lashing out the turf throughout the day
All the boys are in a sweat but we're far from finished yet
Later on we'll have the ? with our tay

instrumental as intro

There's a gobshite from Inishmore makin' hinges for a door
Ther's a man from Ballybaughin making wine
A the chap from Ennis town bloody nearly ran me down
With a tractor that he bought in '39

The young thrasher can be seen and the driver he is steamed
The are winkers here with every sort of gig
There's a dog with handlebars and 100 vintage cars
And there just about to barbeque a pig

Chorus......and.....instrumental
