The corrected segment of the comes from the March (sic) 1981 version
of the Lene Lovich song written by Thomas Dolby - who of course, also
played the synths and background vocals, plus a clearing of the throat
and snarl grunt are also heard early in the song if you listen carefully.
But in the lyric segment -

I'm sick of the TV (Well look at the news)
I'm sick of the radio (But what can you do)
I'm sick of the Hoover (Blah blah blah blah blah) <------- SCRATCH THIS,
(Blah blah blah blah blah).
I'm sick of it all so what can I do

Nobody, has the correct missing lyric - websites included. Personally, I
remember hearing the song many times during the summer of 1981 (junior
yr. H.S.) and during the eighties on a local Alternative Rock station, so
plenty of time for the song's true lyric to surface...subconsciously.
Tooting my own horn my ears are somewhat golden so.....

After extrapolating the E.P. version via a digital editor - (equalizer
shelving, pitch shifting and playing with the questionable lyric segment
(about 1min and 30sec to 1min and 35sec) the true lyric is truly
revealed. Actually there were two possibilities with the murbler and is
a borderline mondegreen.

#1. "I'm waiting on you"

It's tempting to draw the conclusion that there's a sexual allusion via
Lovich's 'Hoover' to oral sex but after careful analysis (about an hour
and half) the lyric becomes clearer (segment pitched down to a Major
6th) - plus Lene's prominently dominant inflected lyric leap of "I'm
sick of the Hoooooover" obfuscates the true meaning of the backgound
lyric. Nevertheless, I'm sure Dolby wasn't pulling the wool over New Age
Fan eyes.

So the true lyric is ta da -

#2. "A Maytag on you"
I'm sure writer Thomas Dolby (I have'nt the time to track down and email
Dolby to corrobrate) however logically Dolby would concur as it makes
sense given the clash of two appliances (vacuum - the 'Hoover' and an
appliance - 'Maytag'....Lovich's 'Hoover' - and the background
vocalists 'Maytag!'

Additionally on the (Oh-e-oh) personally it sound like (Oi-e-oh) and is
subject to further conjecture but
here are the cleaned up lyrics.

"New Toy" - Lene Lovich
(Thomas. Dolby)
on the EP _New Toy_ - Stiff/Epic, 1981

[Lene playfully inserts a squeaky falsetto before the 2nd Synth line ]
you must?
Did I ask for your love [whip]
Did I ask for your dedication [whip]
I don't want, I don't want your love [whip]
I don't want, I don't want your affection [whip]

But I've got to have the car (I need it for the weekend)
I've got to have the stereo (And a couple of deletions)
I've got to have the freezer (It's a bonerack am I eating)
I've got to have it all until I'm complete

I want a new toy (Oi-e-oh)
(Got) to keep my head expanding (New toy)
I want a new toy (Oi-e-oh)
(But) nothing too demanding (New toy)

Then when everything isn't roses
Everything is static (New toy)
Let me have a new toy (Oh-e-oh)
You'll find us in the attic, view

Sometimes you make me feel [whip]
I feel so insecure [whip]
Sometimes you make me feel [whip]
Nothing at all [whip]

I'm sick of the TV (Well look at the news)
I'm sick of the radio (But what can you do)
I'm sick of the Hoover (A Maytag on you)
I'm sick of it all so what can I do

I'll get a new toy (Oi-e-oh)
(Got) to keep my head expanding (New toy)
I'll get a new toy (Oi-e-oh)
(But) nothing too demanding (New toy)

Then when everything isn't roses
You don't get any head room (New toy)
Let me have a new toy (Oh-e-oh)

You'll find us....in the bedroom, yeah

[laughter in the bedroom]
You, you must, you must want [Orgasmic sigh]
What do you want
You, you must, you must want [fuck?]
What do you want
You must, you must [fuck?] want
What do you want, what do you want, what do you want

New toy (New toy)
New toy (Oh-e-oh)
New toy (Woooh, new toy)
New toy (Uh-e-oh) (oh-e-oh)

New toy (New toy)
New toy (Oh-e-oh)
New toy (New toy), New toy (New toy), New toy (Neeew toy), (Oh-e-oh)
(giggles)
New toy (Want it, want it, want it, want it, want it (Cut off the mike,
I've got an opening in here)
(New toy, Oh-e-oh)
New toy, New toy

(Fade)

If you check out this live version at 1:37 the last word of the response line for "I'm sick of the hoover" is clearly "vacuum", which makes sense in context. I can't quite figure out the words leading up to vacuum ("Cause that's a vacuum" maybe?).
.

Also, if you're a guitar player, I just posted chord tab for this (or at least my best stab)... https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/lene_lovich/new_toy_chords_2725113
